Stephen Komie Featured in A&E Documentary About Roland Breault's Quest for Justice
The Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E) has recently produced a documentary about the case of Roland Breault, a client of Komie and Associates. Attorney Stephen Komie, who represented Mr. Breault during his case, is featured in this documentary. He recently spent time filming interviews and other scenes at the Rockford Courthouse and the Daley Center in Chicago.
Roland Breault was charged with first-degree murder after fatally stabbing Joe Pendergrass in 2016. After an eight-year court battle, Mr. Breault was found not guilty of first-degree murder by a jury. Mr. Komie proved that Mr. Breault acted in self-defense. The defendant was exonerated of the murder charges, and he has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughted. Upon the return of the verdict, he returned home from jail. He was sentenced to time served and now enjoys spending time with his family, welcoming a new grandchild.
